Flip the zipper part of the bag toward the outside...

Flip the zipper part of the bag toward the outside and then set the bag in your clean measuring cup.

That way, the cup holds the bag, you still measure the contents, and the zipper will be cleaner. As an added bonus, you eliminate one step and get done even more quickly.

I have a four cup measure and use this method to save soup / chicken stock.

Great blog. I enjoy having you all there and I do think that the kids pick up on certain things at the meeting. Every time that they go, they'll learn something new and eventually before you know it something will click.

Hmmm, we have been vegetarian-ish because of finances on many many days. We eat meat once a day if we can but end up eating other forms of protein instead. Meat just costs so much for a family of 6!
